Junaid Ahmad is an Australian writer whose work is shaped by migration, family, faith, law, and years spent listening to strangers from every walk of life.
I am an Australian writer, construction professional, law student, husband, and father. My path to writing did not begin in a quiet study. It began in motion—through work, migration, family life, and countless conversations with people I might otherwise never have met.
Years spent driving a taxi introduced me to passengers carrying private grief, unexpected courage, prejudice, generosity, and hope. Those brief encounters challenged my assumptions and became the foundation of my debut memoir, Life Through Rear View Mirror.
Professionally, I work in construction and study law with the goal of practising in construction law. Across these different worlds, I remain interested in the same questions: how people make choices, how power shapes behaviour, and what becomes possible when we look beyond appearances.
Across construction, law, family life, and writing, I remain drawn to the same pursuit: understanding people before judging them.
